PÁRRAFOS

A-Itis a developmental disorder falling within the autistic spectrum affecting social interaction, verbaland non- verbal communication and a reluctance to accept change, and inflexibility of thought. Individuals are usually extremely good on rote memory skills (facts, figures, dates, times, etc) Many excel in maths and science. There is a range of severity of symptons within the syndrome, the very mildly affected child often goes undiagnosed and may just appear odd or eccentric.

B- in early childhood there are the difficulties in learning simple practical skills and in social adaptation. These difficulties arise out of the same disturbance which at school age cause learning and conduct problems, in adolescence job and performance problems and in adulthood social and marital conflicts.

C- This thin-ideal shape portrayed in the media is biogenetically difficult, if not impossible, for the majority of women. More importantly, digital enhancement of magazine images normalises an illusion of desirable bodies that is not physically possible. The internalization of such a stringent and essentially unobtainable body image can lead to body dissatisfaction, low self-esteem or possibly eating disorder symptomatology in vulnerable individuals who do not see themselves as conforming to this ideal.

D -Developmental, psychological, sociocultural and behavioral factors contribute to the complex development and persistence of anorexia and bulimia nervosa. The sociocultural etiological model is based upon the premise that societal factors send potent messages to girls and young women that certain physical attributes are unacceptable in today’s society. Several lines of evidence point toward one sociocultural factor, mass media, as a potential risk factor for eating disorders.

E_ Cooley’s concepts of the looking glass self, states that a person’s self grows out of a person’s social interactions with others. The view of ourselves comes from the contemplation of personal qualities and impressions of how others perceive us. Actually, how we see ourselves does not come from who we really are, but rather from how we believe others see us. The main point is that people shape their self-concepts bases on their understanding of how others perceive them.
